Once your website is up and running, don’t be afraid to delve into the world of social media. Platforms like Twitter and Facebook allow you to connect with your customers in a way that you just couldn’t do 15 or 20 year ago. Finally, be sure to always create an experience for your customers. From the moment they walk into your store to the moment they walk out with their purchases, you should strive to create an atmosphere that makes them want to return soon. This atmosphere is a combination of your in-store displays, theming, customer service and other aspects.
Your customers may only be in your store once during their vacation, but a positive, unique experience will encourage them to come back the next time they’re in town.
